Dinosaurs

In October we flew to California for 17 days. We had a wonderful time visiting family, Disneyland, and popular sites around the area. We stayed with my brother for the first few nights which gave the cousins some great play time together.

Our first outing together was to see the dinosaurs in Cabazon. We have been thereΒ  many time before, but it’s always fun for the kids unless of course they are terrified of dinosaurs πŸ™‚

Summertime

This past summer was especially busy with taking care of an infant and trying to keep a 4 year old entertained. I managed to keep them both alive, thank the Lord, so it all worked out πŸ˜‰ I also managed to tend my vegetable and rose garden. We had lots of green beans, cherry tomatoes, 1 normal sized zucchini (fail), a few potatoes, blueberries, strawberries, raspberries, and of course roses.

Todd also had a couple projects over the summer such as building a shed and putting together a playset. The shed turned out beautiful and very functional. It has two doors that open wide in the front to all of our tools and the side doors open to narrow spaces that hold the lawn mower and other equipment. The roof is a tinted gray plastic to make everythig inside more visible, Todd is so clever!

The playset was well loved by Ada and her friends over the summer too.

Kite Festival

At the end of August we visited the Long Beach Kite Festival with family. Ada had fun on the drive down with Tom, Cindy, and Bryden. The kids also had tons of fun playing in the sand and water. Unfortunately it was SO windy we only stayed a couple hours including most of the kite fliers who started to pack up. Afterwards we headed back to Olympia to visit with Kali and little miss Layla.

3 Months

Ruby started to roll from front to back at the end of 2 months. She can hold herself up for a good little while on her tummy. When she gets tired on her tummy, she rolls over or screams to be helped πŸ™‚ She also loves to suck on her hands/fingers and drool a lot!

Ruby became much more expressive this month with more sounds and lots of smiles and laughs. She does a cute little cough when she is happy. She also enjoys her diaper being changed, something which Ada did not like at all πŸ™‚

2 Months

Ruby is growing like a weed and almost out of her 3 months clothing. She is holding her neck fairly well and can look around for a short time. She really started smiling this month and talking to us with coos and other cute sounds. It’s so fun when babies start to interact.
