Ada is actually almost 16 months. Once again, I am a little behind 🙂
Ada loves talking/babbling and has a growing vocabulary. She knows lots of animal sounds and simple words. Her new favorite word is “WOW!” She also likes to hold up her hands and ask where something went (where’d it go?) if she can’t see it anymore (like a bird flying out of view). She loves to laugh and make us laugh too.
I have a couple posts left from Arizona… a little slow to finish, but we had family visiting along with me getting the flu again 🙂
Todd was finally able to get Ada in the pool after a failed attempt on my part. The water was a little chilly, but with the 100 degree weather I think she eventually enjoyed it.
We recently had the opportunity to join Todd on a business trip to the Phoenix area (Logos has a second office there). Ada & I had lots of time to explore and play outside in the sun. My parents drove out one day for a short visit and we also got to see Keith & Samantha since they lived close by.
The pictures are mostly of Ada, as usual 🙂
Ada also loved the Bass Pro Shop Outdoor World! She waved at and tried to kiss the fish and stuffed animals. My parents had fun with her too!
Ada made a new best friend with a giant teddy bear.
Ada had lots of fun exploring our local park a couple weeks ago. She especially enjoyed the merry-go-round and playing in the pea gravel 🙂

Todd & I celebrated our seven year anniversary this past Monday. We had a nice dinner at our favorite steak house and a lovely walk through Boulevard Park. We appreciate our friends who babysat so we could have some us time! It was our first time alone on a date without Ada in 14 months 🙂
Ada loves her new (new to her) Mr. Potato Head I bought at a friend’s garage sale. She really enjoys putting him together. I usually help push the parts all the way in, but she creates his look. Ada is pretty good about putting the eyes in the correct spot or on top of the head 🙂
Here is her latest creation.
A few days ago Ada decided she wanted to wear a bib around the house. She changed her mind at some point because she kept coming to me with one bib after the next (we have quite a few). Thankfully, she stopped at six. I think seven would have been too tight 🙂
She also loves to wear jackets around the house because she is getting good at unzipping and pulling them off 🙂
Spring is nearing with the amount of birds visiting our yard so I thought it was time to clean the leaves out of the bird bath. Since then, lots of birdies have been taking their baths 🙂
The bird bath still needs a good scrubbing, but the birds don’t seem to mind for now.
Ada loves to stand on her head these days. She thinks it is so funny to look at us from between her legs. She also LOVES to roll around on our bed. She does a “timber” where she stands and then falls straight forward without bending her knees. Ada is such a little goof ball!
Oh, and Todd noticed that she hums to herself when playing/running around…I do the same thing, hehe 😉

I really wish I had one of those cute vintage fabric chairs for this shoot instead of this old thing, oh well 🙂
I love the last picture of Ada eating the letters. So classic and so her! I think everything we own has been taste tested by Ada.
