A couple weeks ago I flew down to California to visit my family and meet my newest nephew, Aiden, for the first time. He is adorable and a very sweet baby!
I spent the first half of my stay with Matt & Cherise and the rest with my parents. Ada had lots of fun meeting most of the family for the first time and playing with her cousin Holden. I’ll have a few more photos of our trip soon.
I have a little bit of catch-up to do. We have been busy busy busy with family events over the last couple of weeks. At the end of July we traveled to Oregon so Ada could meet her extended family (on my side) for the first time. On our way home we got to see Todd’s family in Olympia.

Ada now loves to roll in both in directions on purpose and can get her knees up under her to rock back and forth. She sits unassisted and is getting better (but not perfect) about not face planting when done 🙂
My little Creamsicle looks pretty cute in her outfit, not sure if I broke a rule dressing a red head in orange.
Ada is starting to try solids. She seems to like everything she has tasted which has only been rice cereal and sweet potatoes. She also loves to drink out of a sippy cup, such a big girl now 🙂
I thought I would share Ada’s newish found skill of sucking her big toe. She mostly does it on the changing table as soon as the diaper is unsnapped…but I got her to do again fully clothed for pictures 🙂
We had fun watching fireworks. There were several other families including the owner of Logos who let us all up on the roof. We really had a great view then! Ada loved watching the fireworks. Todd said she especially liked the green ones 🙂
We are going to be watching fireworks from Todd’s office tonight, should have a great view without the crowds 🙂 Hope you all have a wonderful celebration too!
This little romper was mine as a baby. Still pretty cute after 30 years 🙂
On Sunday, while we had friends visiting from Canada, we decided to let Ada try out her new pool. She loved it! In the next couple of weeks we will be starting our baby swimming class at the Y, that should be fun too.

Once again I am behind on posting Ada’s weekly updates (every Thursday)…this will probably be the norm for awhile so I will stop bringing it up 🙂 There is just too little time in a day.
Last week Thursday was a nice day so I took a few outdoors with Ada in her new romper. The outfit is a little big but I love it and will probably take more when it fits her better.
