Another fun year at our neighbor’s family pumpkin patch. The weather was beautiful and we enjoyed the company of our longtime friends, Jessica, Owen and Henry. The girls also enjoyed carving their pumpkins and dressing up as Elsa & Anna for Halloween 🙂

Pumpkin Patch & Halloween
4th of July
This year we had a fun full day celebrating the 4th. We spent the morning in Bellingham at Ada’s swim lesson then back home for a bbq with our friends/neighbors. After dinner we set off some cheap fireworks for the kids (smoke bombs, spinning flowers and sparklers.) We then drove back downtown to Todd’s office (with our friends) to watch the big fireworks show.
Christmas Fun
It’s been a busy holiday season with lots of family and snow! My parents drove up to spend 5 nights with us for Christmas and then for New Years we spent the weekend with Todd’s family. We unusually had snow both holiday weekends!
Tree Farm
First is started with the wet weekend cutting down our Christmas tree. It’s a tradition to go tree hunting with our friends who also live right across the street. Ruby had fun running around with Breanna chasing her.
Eagles
A couple days before Christmas we drove up the mountain with my parents hoping to see a few eagles. We saw about 2o that day!
Christmas Eve
After our Christmas Eve church service we opened stockings. This has always been a tradition for us.
Christmas Day
After breakfast and the Christmas Story (read from the Jesus Storybook Bible) the girls enjoyed opening their gifts. We also exchanged gifts with my parents this year. That evening we drove around to see a few Christmas lights.
New Years Fun
The kids had lots of fun playing together. It gets better every year! Ruby was fun to watch this year, she would scream with excitement while opening each gift 🙂

Easter Egg Hunt
The girls had fun finding their eggs this year. Ruby got to find a few empty ones in the grass while Ada had several hidden around the yard. The playset was a great new spot to hide eggs this year. We also read through all the Resurrection Eggs in one sitting. Ada has fun opening each egg to reveal part of the Easter story. The last egg is empty because, praise the Lord, Jesus is risen!
Family Christmas
Christmas Time
1) Our annual trek (2.5 miles) to the Christmas tree farm was fun, but wet.
2) Ada decorated a cute gingerbread house with our homeschooling group.
3) Christmas Eve and Christmas Day were extra fun with Ruby this year. I forgot how much babies love crinkly paper and ripping it to shreds. It was cute watching her help open Ada’s gifts and then one of her own 🙂
…and yes, that is the fireplace channel on Netflix, ha!
