Seattle: part 3

Ada returned to us after a fun time with grandpa & grandma and we spent that morning in Seattle catching up and having fun with her.

Seattle: part 2

I loved the lines and colors of the city and its art throughout downtown. We also rode the Great Wheel and got a great view of the city lights at night.

Seattle: part 1

Back in April, Todd and I were able to get away to Seattle for our 9th anniversary. Todd’s Mom graciously watched Ada for 2 nights so we could enjoy some time away, the first for us! We enjoyed exploring the city, touring Chihuly Garden and Glass, and experiencing a multi-level movie theater. We also found the troll under the bridge, very cool (or creepy, however you look at it!) 🙂

Freezing Rain

After the snow we had freezing rain that covered everything in ice. The trees and plants looked beautiful covered in tiny icicles.

Snowy Days

So, going waaay back to February, we had a few days of snow. Ada had lots of fun playing in it as usual and I had fun taking pictures (like Ada’s animal figures) 🙂

Gramma & Grampa Visit

My parents came up for a visit during the first part of February. We spent the 9 days they were here relaxing and catching up. We also drove to Portland to celebrate three special birthdays.

Arizona House

These are my last photos from the time spent in AZ about 3 months ago. We ended with lots of swimming and time playing in the sunshine. The kids had so much fun together and we miss them all!

Phoenix Zoo

Another highlight of our trip was getting to see my brother and family during the second week of our vacation. Matt, Cherise, and the boys drove out for a 3 night stay. We had a lot of fun with 4 kids and all the chaos that goes with it. We got brave and took the kiddos to the zoo, it was a fun and exhausting day 🙂

Baby Noah

A highlight of our trip was getting to see Todd’s brother and family. I was excited because this was the first time I got to meet my newest nephew, baby Noah. He was a cutie and Ada loved him too. She did really well holding and trying to “shush” him. We had a couple outings with Keith and Noah, mostly at parks to play disc-golf and for Ada to have fun on the playgrounds.

Sedona Day-Trip

The three of us flew to Phoenix, Arizona for two weeks in January/February for Todd’s work. We enjoyed our stay and had a lot of fun in the sun 🙂 While Todd was working during the first week, Ada, myself and another wife drove up to Sedona for a fun day-trip. On the way, we stopped at Montezuma Castle National Monument which was a really cool ancient cliff dwelling. By the afternoon we were in Sedona, driving around the gorgeous red rocks.
