Tricycle

Ada has been enjoying riding her tricycle (the one I painted awhile back) the last few months when the weather permits it. She especially enjoyed trying to run me down as I took these pictures…it was very entertaining!

I love this first picture, showing more of her feisty side 🙂

Big 3

A couple months  ago Ada turned 3 and we continue to be blessed and challenged having little Ada in our lives. We couldn’t ask for a sweeter, more caring, fun-loving silly girl.

These photos are from her butterfly/garden themed party that we celebrated with Grandma Cindy, friends from church, and good neighbors.

Eagles

A couple days after New Years we headed up the mountain to try our luck at finding the eagles again. We were successful in seeing over 50 eagles gathered to feed on salmon this time. I’ve heard they can gather in the hundreds, but this was cool enough for me 🙂

35 Months

Ada is a joy and delight and will be turning 3  in a couple weeks! She currently enjoys (and does well) playing games on Todd’s iPad, hunting for stuffed animals with all the lights off and using only a flashlight to find them, and playing with her wooden train set. She often says “I have a good idea” which is cute to hear and accurate a lot of the time 🙂

We had a snow day last week! Todd stayed home for a few hours in the morning to play with Ada. We built a snowgirl, threw snowballs, and pulled each other on the sled. It was beautiful while it lasted, which was only a couple days.

34 Months

Ada has a couple cute phrases she began saying this month. “I have a throat in my tummy”-translation: not feeling good, sore throat, or excuse for misbehaving. My drip drippers are going down and down” or ‘’my eyes are dripping”-translation: crying 🙂

We celebrated an early Christmas with Todd’s family over the Thanksgiving break. The cousins had a lot of fun playing and goofing off together during our visit.

33 Months

Currently Ada is 35 months, soon to be 3! I’m pretty sure the monthly growth updates will cease, but I will continue to update and blog about things we do…if I can catch up 🙂

She is such a funny girl and that pretty much sums up Ada. She loves life and loves to play, play, PLAY! Some of her phrases are “I can’t know” and “actually” when she corrects you or has a better idea. She began praying at night for family and friends which has been so wonderful to hear.

These were taken at the Stoney Ridge pumpkin patch before Halloween.

32 Months

Oh my, I am once again behind on updating Ada’s monthly photos! She  just turned 34 months, I think 🙂 Lets see, this month she decided she was ready for the potty, yay! She does it all by herself now, at least during the day.

We spent one fall morning at Cornwall Park exploring the back trails talking about God’s beauty and of course, spending time at the playground 🙂

Friends

The day before we left Michigan we had the opportunity to visit some friends of ours who once lived in Washington. Since I also wanted to see the lake, we took about 20 minutes to stop at Lake Michigan before heading out to see them. The lake was gorgeous. We visited Holland State Park and walked along the white sandy beach. Ada had fun chasing the birds and playing in the sand.

We also had a nice visit with the Fosters. It’s always great to catch up when we get the chance, plus they have the sweetest kids! Ada got to play with the kids and Todd and I got to shoot their potato gun. We used apples since they had plenty to spare 🙂
