Lazy Afternoon

This is a typical day for the dynamic duo, napping followed by more napping. They love their fuzzy hanging thingy, perfect for snuggling.

Now that Mosey & Cheesecake have grown a bit and their identifying marks are gone, I can no longer tell them apart. One is slightly more chubby, I think that might be Mosey, but I am not sure. They still bring me joy when I play with them, which is all that matters 🙂

Graduation

I got home on Tuesday from a fun filled week in California. My brother graduated from Police Academy after six hard months of training. He had perfect attendance and ranked high in his class of sixty-five recruits. I have never been more proud of Matt, he truly earned his badge!

Thursday the 9th was his graduation ceremony and on Friday we witnessed his official swearing in at the police station where he will be working. If you would join with us, we will be consistently praying for his safety and that he would glorify the Lord in his work. It is especially dangerous for the officers who put their lives on the line for ours everyday.

So, I didn’t get the best indoor pictures, but I wanted to share them with you anyways 🙂 I also had to blur his badge and city for legal reasons.

Blessings & Blooms

Yesterday Todd  & I celebrated our fourth wedding anniversary. We had a nice dinner at Olive Garden (thanks Marla), played LEGO Indiana Jones on the Xbox, and watched Babylon 5 to top a perfect evening off 🙂 I am amazed at how fast the time has gone. It has been good because God is good.

Since I did not take pictures of our evening, I am posting more flowers…surprise surprise. I enjoy seeing new life in the yard and those daffodils sure are cheery when the weather is not!

On another note, I am flying (solo) to California on the 7th. My brother is graduating from Police Academy and we are very proud of him. I am looking forward to some warmth and sunshine too!

Spring Color

It’s been rainy the past few days but I had to take pictures of the flowers that are now visible in the yard. Last Saturday we had our small group from church over to clean up the yard. We are taking turns cleaning up each other’s homes, pretty cool. I guess we have a lot of plants, because it took four hours for eight people to do just the front yard and part of our side yard. I am so grateful for their hard work! It looks beautiful, so manicured. I will still need to do the backyard sometime when it stops raining… though, the rain did not stop us on Saturday 🙂

Warning: Rats

To those of you who are pocket pet squeamish (you know who you are), do not read this post! Don’t worry, this is not going to turn into a rat blog…hmm… I could switch the name to Casa de Las Ratas 🙂

I realize these pictures are blurry…or at least the rats are. Do you know how difficult it is to photograph spastic little creatures? VERY! It is my fault though, I didn’t pick the sunniest of days, nor do I have a good indoor lens (I’m working on Todd) so this is what you get, blurred… or what some people call “artistic” photos 🙂

Here is a typical day for Cheesecake and Mosey…

Ratties

Meet my new pets, thanks to the Ball family. They were Sarah’s class experiments and needed a home or they would have become snake food. I couldn’t let that happen, so here they are! Their names are Cheesecake & Mosey, both girls. I had a rat a couple years ago and missed having the cute thing around. I am happy to have more. You will probably see more pictures in the future, just a warning 🙂
